Positive for nitrate reduction, arginine dihydrolase, urease, and gelatinase in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase. L-Arabinose, capric acid, malic acid, and trisodium citrate are utilized. Does not utilize D-glucose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid.
