Distribution:— In Mexico, recorded in Sonora, in northwestern (San Luis Río Colorado and Golfo de Santa Clara), northeastern (San Fernando Ranch and Peñasquito), and in the central-northern area (Agua Prieta, Santa Ana and Magdalena). Also reported for the Peninsula of Baja California ( Wiggins, 1980; samples not seen). Also in California ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ).
Habitat:— Desert plains; sandy and gravelly soils; disturbed areas; associated with Larrea, Ephedra, Hesperocallis, Encelia, Opuntia, Hilaria, Ambrosia, Aristida, Oenothera, Typha, Ambrosia , and Tamarix ; 30– 700 m.
