Holotype ♀, Thailand, “in rice field”, 1961, A. Manjikul (no sequence data) ( BMNH). Body length 4.6 mm, fore wing length 3.8 mm.
Antenna broken in holotype. Median flagellomeres approximately 1.5 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete, venly rounded dorsally, joining hypostomal carina ventrally. Mesopleuron largely aciculate to finely coriaceous, precoxal sulcus weak and slightly more coarsely sculptured, with medium-sized specular area almost completely devoid of sculpture. Midlongitudinal carina of propodeum complete though weaker on posterior 0.1 just before joining posterior semicircular carina. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 3 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.4 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.45 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.2 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu weak and short, slightly antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia without comb of modified adpressed setae. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite well developed, rounded anteriorly, steeply angled posteriorly. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite hardly more distinct than other longitudinal striation of tergite. 4 th tergite with fine but distinct longitudinal striation superimposed on aciculate background on anterior half.
Etymology. Named after the entomologist Ron Eady who worked at the Natural History Museum, London, 1937–1953.
