Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chiang Mai, 20–31.iii.2001, Quicke & Laurenne (voucher AL0134) (no sequence data) ( BMNH) . Paratype ♀, Thailand, Bang Khen , 1965, “ light trap ”, K E (no sequence data) ( BMNH) .

Body length 5.7 mm, and of fore wing length 4.2 mm.

Antennae approximately half missing in holotype. Median flagellomeres approximately 2 x longer than wide.

Occipital carina complete, mediodorsally giving rise to a short anteriorly directed spur, ventrally lamelliform and joining hypostomal carina at an acute angle. Mesopleuron largely foveate-rugose superimposed on strong aciculate sculpture, precoxal sulcus moderately impressed, rugose, speculum absent. Propodeum with midlongitudinal carina present on basal 0.8Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.2 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose.. Fore wing vein 1-SR+M rather strongly bisinuate. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.85 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.3 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.7 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 2 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu absent. Hind wing vein m-cu absent. Apex of hind tibia without comb of specially modified adpressed setae medially. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite distinct, rounded anteriorly, steeply sloping posteriorly. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite not differentiated.

Etymology. In reference to the elongate body form.
