Body length 4.2–4.8 mm, fore wing length 4.0– 4.1 mm and antenna length 6.5 mm.

Antenna with 47 (♀) and 46 (♂) flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere acuminate. Median flagellomeres 2 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete, though weak mediodorsally (clearly visible when head viewed from slightly anterior of dorsal). Mesopleuron almost entirely aciculate coriaceous, precoxal sulcus hardly impressed with only faint rugosity, speculum absent. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.7 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct glabrous zone posteriorly. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.65 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.1 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.65 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu short, weakly pigmented, antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia with comb of specialised adpressed setae medially and ventrally between spurs. Claws with pecten of 7 or 8 long, fine, pale brown teeth on basal lobe, these splaying and distinctly separated, and the penultimate ones slightly longer. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite small, protruding, posteriorly concave. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct on anterior 0.5 of tergum.

Etymology. In reference to the virtual absence of the episternal scrobe.
