Body length 6.0– 6.5 mm, fore wing length 5.3–5.5 mm and antenna length 9.0 mm.

Antenna with 59 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere acuminate. Median flagellomeres 1.2 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete mediodorssally, ventrally joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron shiny, largely densely punctate becoming rugose anteriorly and dorsally, precoxal sulcus deep, rather narrow, coarsely rugose, speculum large, without punctures. Propodeum with complete midlongitudinal caria. Propodeum with well developed, carinate postero-lateral lobes. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.65 x 1-CU1. Fore wing subbasal cell evenly densely setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.7 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.8 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.35 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly, moderately setose. Hind wing vein m-cu represented by a short pigmented line, interstial. Apex of hind tibia without a comb of modified setae medially. Claws of female with 3 or 4 brown pecten spines of which 1 or 2 are quite long, located rather basally; ♂ without obvious pecten spines. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite large and rounded anteriorly, pointed, moderately concave posteriorly. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite distinct on anterior 0.7 of tergum.

Etymology. Named because of its three-coloured legs.
