Aleiodes mediofuscus sp. nov.

Holotype ♀, Thailand, Chiang Mai Province, Huai Nan Dang NP, visitors centre, 28.iv.2008, 19° 18.803' N, 98° 36.408' E, Anuchart & Thawatchai (voucher BCLDQ01565, Genbank JN278315 ) ( QSBG).

Body length 4.0 mm, fore wing length 3.7 mm and antenna length 5.2 mm.

Antenna with 39 flagellomeres. Median flagellomeres 2.3 x longer than wide. Occiput coriaceous with weak subtransverse striation. Occipital carina obliterated mediodorsally, ventrally joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely coriaceous becoming aciculate posteriorly, anterodorsally rugose, precoxal sulcus moderately impressed with strong subvertical striae, speculum absent. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 2.55 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Fore wing vein 3-SR 2.55 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 1.25 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.2 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.25 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu indicated by a weak crease in wing membrane, nearly interstital. Apex of hind tibia without comb of specialised adpressed setae. Claws without conspicuous pecten. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite hardly produced, smoothly curved. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite weak but distinct. Etymology. In reference to the brown-grey marked middle part of the body.
