Occurrence: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia (WPC 2023).
Reported localities in Hungary: Vádé ( Daday 1889b).
New data: nil.
Habitat preference: Beier (1963a) recorded this species from old trees and from the leaf litter beneath them.
Remarks: This species was reported from a single locality, Vádé, in Hungary by Daday (1918). No further records have been found, and the specimens of Daday cannot be located, suggesting that the occurrence of this otherwise Mediterranean species is likely to be doubtful in Hungary.
