Habitat preference: The ha b it at prefere nce of A. peregrinus were investigated in detail by Krajčovičová et al. (2012), who listed it from various habitats, e.g. from leaf litter of deciduous and evergreen forests, tree microhabitats, and from under stones. In Hungary, it has been reported from houses ( Novák 2016), and during the present study it was found in beech forest.
Remarks: The first Hungarian record of A. peregrinus was from Hortobágy National Park ( Mahnert 1983). Since then, it has been recorded from different regions of Hungary (Novák 2015, 2016, 2018).

Recently it was elevated to species rank again (WPC 2023). Allochernes phaleratus is known from differnt parts of Hungary, and might also occur in neighbouring countries.
