Type locality: Calcutta.
Type material: holotype (male) in BMNH, examined. Distribution: India , Pakistan, new for Afghanistan ( Yakovlev 2011). Habitat and biology. Flight period: June.
Material examined: 1 male, Afghanistan, Nuristan, Barikot, 1800 m, 12− 17.07.1963, leg. Kasy & Vartian ( MNHW).

Type locality: Afgh[anistan]., Nimla, 40 km SW v. Dschelalabad. Type material: holotype (male) in MWM, examined.
Distribution: Afghanistan ( Yakovlev 2011).
Erroneously reported as Catopta pallidalae Hampson, 1892 ( Daniel 1965) . Сossus pallidalae Hampson, 1892 ( Fig. 46) was described on the single specimen from Sikkim and later moved to the genus Sansara Yakovlev, 2004 (subfamily Zeuzerinae ).
Habitat and biology. Flight period: June.
Material examined: 13 males (holotype and 12 paratypes), 4 females (paratypes) Afgh[anistan]., Nimla, 40 km SW v. Dschelalabad, 23.6.1965, E. & A. Vartian leg. ( MWM; MNHW).
