Distribution: NW Pakistan, Swat prov., SO Afghanistan. Habitat and biology. Flight period: June-July. Altitude: 2100−2350 m. Material examined: male (paratype), SO Afghanistan, Safed Koh, Südseite, Kotkal, 2350 m, 21.06–1.07.1969, leg. Vartian ( MNHW).

Type locality: Askhabad, Pul-i-Hatum, Tekke [ Turkmenistan, Ashkhabad]. Type material: lectotype (male) in ZISP, examined. Designation by Yakovlev (2006b). Distribution: Turkmenistan, N. Afghanistan, NE Iran ( Yakovlev 2006b).

The nominal subspecies was reported for Herat ( Daniel 1964).

Material examined: male, Herat, 970 m, 5.5.56., Amsel ( MWM); male, Salang pass, Kotale, leg. Dr. Reshöft, 3200 m, 14.0 7.72. ( MWM); 24 males, female, Herat, 970 m, 5.0 5.1956, Amsel ( ZSSM).

In eastern Afghanistan: subspecies albus ( Daniel, 1971)

Type locality: 40 km SW v. Kabul, Afghanistan.
