Genitalia with gonostylus short, with brush of long hairs, penis valve pointed distally; apodeme of gonocoxite valve and penis valve extended beyond genital base; penis valves widely separated basally; volsella projecting as lobe at apex of gonocoxite.
Single male and female collected in blue bowl trap during April.
Distribution. Southern India. Overall distribution unknown.
Material examined. INDIA: Karnataka: Bheemarayanagudi , 1♀, 13.iv.2013; 1♂, 17.iv.2013, Blue bowl, collected by Ambresh.
Comments. The identity of this species remains unclear. Two species are known from adjacent parts of India, A. ordinatum Smith , type locality “Bombay Presidency” and A. longstaffi Mavromoustakis , type locality Matheran, Maharashtra. The present material does not appear to match descriptions of either and may represent an undescribed species, but without additional material and study of the types of A. ordinatum and A. longstaffi no such decision can be made.
