Figs 33–35 View FIGURES 33 – 35

Type material. Adult male holotype from Ramat Magshimim , southern Golan , Israel, leg. Rakefet Sharon, June 1996, pitfall trap ( HUJ 15192). Female unknown.

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition referring to the type locality.

Description. Brown, hirsute with a few plumose setae on the carapace. Opisthosoma with small dorsal, relatively soft, scutum. Alignment of eyes as in genus with AME largest. Chelicerae with 2–3 teeth.

Male. Measurements (holotype): total length 8.3; carapace length 4.0, width 3.3, index 1.2; labial index 1.26; clypeal index 1.09; MOQ index 7.27; legs length: I 10.8, II 10.8, III 11.2, IV 14.6; patella-tibia index 1.1.

Palpus. Large. Slightly sinuate brown embolus rises along light laminate conductor, and both extend above transparent, sclerotized apical apophysis ( Figs 33–35 View FIGURES 33 – 35 ). Thick tibial apophysis notched at tip ( Figs 34, 35 View FIGURES 33 – 35 ).

Diagnosis. Based on male. The configuration and shape of the palpal sclerites along with the shape of the notched tibial apophysis clearly separate M. magshimim from all other Megamyrmaekion species.

Distribution. Israel, known only from the type locality.
