Distribution.
Off Western Australia and Queensland, 18-201 m.
Remarks.
Truncatoflabellum macroeschara belongs to a group of three western Australian species that have very large coralla, often including some S7, the other two species being Truncatoflabellum veroni and Truncatoflabellum angiostomum . It differs from those two species as well as all others in the genus by having a very large scar diameter.
