Neotype (Uotila in Ann. Bot. Fenn. 38: 96. 2001): Russia. Republic of Dagestan, In fonds Kislar, [early 1800s], C. Steven (H-1037202).

Current name: Chenopodium chenopodioides (L.) Aellen View in CoL ( Chenopodiaceae ).

Note: See extensive discussion by Uotila, who rejects 14.3 and 14.4 (LINN) as original material on the grounds that they conflict with the protologue, and designates a neotype. This removes the possibility that the name might be a synonym of Chenopodium rubrum L. , which had led some authors to informally reject B. chenopodioides .
