Remarks.

This is a typical Siberian species that is distributed in the Siberian part of Russia and Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, Japan and the entire Korean peninsula ( Cherepanov 1990a, Danilevsky 2014a). The larvae feed on the wood of different deciduous trees. The life cycle usually lasts two years. The adults appear in the late spring and can be found on flowers, mainly from the Apiaceae and Rosaceae families ( Cherepanov 1990a).

A few specimens were observed on various Apiaceae flowers in a habitat of a mixed forest in the foothills of the West Altai Mountains.
