Holotype: male, paratype female, Xizang, Motuo County, Motuo Town , 29º34´N, 95º35´E, 2017-VIII-14. leg. Xiao- Long , Wang. Type specimens are deposited in the College of Life Science , Leshan Normal University , Leshan 614004, China. GoogleMaps
Male Head black with a yellow band along inner margin of eye. Width of vertex 1.2 times diameter of eye. Antennae black, 10 segments, 8 th segment of antennae not narrow in base. Ocellus somewhat larger, placed the lower 1/3 place of eye. Length of head and pronotum longer than tegmen. Pronotum black, with a yellow band from lateral margin to posterior angle. Fore wing black with Sc vein and R vein. Hind wing longer, extending over the end of cercus, fore margin black, other part pale. veins black. Fore leg yellow, mid leg brown, with yellow band at base and apex. Femur of hind leg black, with a yellow marking on upper side and knee. Metatibia yellowish-brown, with a small white marking near base, upper margin smooth, length of metatibia 2.3 times length of apical spurs, lacking swimming plates, metatarsus degenerated. Abdominal tergum black, and sternum black, with white band. Cercus dark. Stylus dark, base yellow. Epiproct black, upper margin with deep notch in the middle.
Female Body larger than the male. Hind wing shorter, reaching to end of cercus. 8 th sternum with a longitudinal sulcus in the middle. Other as same as the male.
Measurement (in mm): Length of body: ♂ 4.9, ♀ 5.5. Length of tegmina: ♂ 1.3, ♀ 1.4. Length of hind femora ♂ 3.3, ♀ 3.6.
Etymology: The specific epithet is named after Motuo, the type locality.
