General diagnosis. Swimming setae on A2 absent ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 , 2A). Most adult males from Savudrija are strongly covered with algae (Fig. 2A, C) that can easily be confused with hairs ( Krapp-Schickel & Vader, 1998), which are especially dense on Pr2 and 3 as well as on Gn2 (Fig. 2A). Blunt dorsal tubercles with apikal, „raspberry”-like surface are often found on Pr2–7, at least on Pr2 (Fig. 2C; 2G, H) ( Krapp-Schickel & Vader, 1998). Propodus of Gn 2 in males strongly curved and equipped with 2 swollen bulges as well as a prominent, pointed poison tooth (Fig. 2A) ( Krapp-Schickel & Vader, 1998). Gills oval to elongate ( Fig. 3I View FIGURE 3 ) ( Krapp-Schickel & Vader, 1998).

Colour: Green, yellow or reddish, sometimes with black or brown spots ( Krapp-Schickel & Vader, 1998). The material of Cape Savudrija is pink and white. Adult males with small black spots laterally on each side of Pr2 and a single larger spot on Pr3.
