Diarthroconnus Ganglbauer, 1900: 261 (as subgenus of Euconnus View in CoL ).
Type species: Euconnus birnbacheri Ganglbauer, 1900 . Type species placed as junior synonym of Scydmaenus intrusus Schaum, 1844 by Csiki (1919), and Franz (in Newton & Franz (1998)) designated S. intrusus as type species of Spanioconnus Ganglbauer, 1899; consequently Diarthroconnus was regarded as subjective/objective synonym of Spanioconnus. Jałoszyński (2017e) noticed that Franz's (1998) designation of S. intrusus as the type species of Spanioconnus was not valid. Treated as synonym of Spanioconnus in Jakobson (1910); as synonym of Microscydmus in Csiki (1919); E. birnbacheri was placed as junior synonym of Euconnus fimetarius ( Chaudoir, 1845) and consequently Diarthroconnus was synonymized with Euconnus s. str. by Jałoszyński (2017e).
