Paracladycnis vis Blandin 1979: 370 , figs 8, 11, 19, 37, female holotype from Tananarive, Madagascar (MNHN 26227) (examined).

Diagnosis. See genus diagnosis.

Description. Female (Holotype, Tananarive, Madagascar, MNHN 26227). Total length 15.29. Carapace 6.51 long, 5.71 wide, light brown with a wide median dark brown band ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ). Clypeus dark brown with two pairs of dark brown macrosetae on central area ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ), 0.62 high. Anterior eye row slightly recurved in frontal view ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ), 1.28 wide; posterior recurved in dorsal view ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ), 1.86 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.21, ALE 0.22, PME 0.25, PLE 0.26; AME-AME 0.18, AME-ALE 0.14, PME-PME 0.20, PME-PLE 0.30, OQA 0.60, OQP 0.92, OQH 0.60. Chelicerae dark brown with white bristles ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ). Sternum light brown with a yellowish median band, bristly; 2.73 long, 2.57 wide. Labium yellow, 0.91 long, 1.16 wide. Legs light brown, relative length: II-I-III-IV, I—femur 9.70/ patella-tibia 12.63/ metatarsus 8.91/ tarsus 4.52/ total 35.76; II—10.50/ 12.23/ 9.30/ 4.25/ 36.28; III—9.30/ 9.97/ 7.71/ 3.59/ 30.57; IV—10.24/ 10.64/ 9.84/ 4.12/ 34.84. Superior tarsal claw with 12 teeth). Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4; II-4; III-3; IV-3. Abdomen 8.64 long, light brown with a dark brown band delimited by a line of white bristles ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 27 – 29 ); with three pairs of dorsal sigillae. Venter light brown, with scattered setae. Epigynum with large scape at the middle field and with prominent lateral lobes ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 27 – 29 , 30 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Stalk of the spermathecae long ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Base of the spermathecae enlarged ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ). Head of the spermathecae slender and with conspicuous pores ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 30 – 33 ).

Note. The measurements of P. vis were made from the female holotype, but the SEM images were made from fresh individuals recently collected and deposited in CAS collection.
