Distribution: United States (CA, ID, OR, UT, WA), Europe (zur Strassen 1960: 167). Comments: Although Post (1961) states that C. moultoni Post has simple sense cones on antennal segments III and IV, the type specimen has a forked sense cone on IV and a simple sense cone on III, and cannot be distinguished from C. aculeatus (New Synonymy).
