Sida ortiva Korovchinsky, 1979 View in CoL .
Littoral species, associated with vegetation; specimens are able to attach to a substrate. S. ortiva is typical for lakes, ponds and river backwaters with densely vegetated littoral zone, abundant in both spring and autumn. East Asian species, distributed from East Siberia to Bangladesh and South Vietnam ( Korovchinsky 2004). A first record for Central China. Earlier records of Sida crystallina (O. F. Müller, 1776) from Central China, including Hunan and Hubei ( Chiang & Du 1979; Xiang et al 2015) probably all belong to S. ortiva (see Korovchinsky 2004). For description, see Korovchinsky (2004), and Korovchinsky et al. (2021).
