Remigera laticornis ( Pic, 1938) , new combination

Dascillocyphon laticornis Pic 1938: 1

Dascillocyphon laticornis var. obscuripennis Pic 1938: 1 . New synonymy.

Remigera securiformis Springer and Goodrich 1994: 73 ; Springer and Goodrich 1995: 187. New synonymy.

Lastly, the trove of Platydascillinae that contained the above reported material also held 25 specimens of Dascillocyphon minor Everts , nearly equaling the previously reported specimens of that species (Springer and Goodrich 1994). All are from Kuala Lumpur, most from the National Gardens, and were collected between 1934 and 1936. Virtually nothing is known of the biology of this group, so it is of particular interest that 15 were collected on arenga palm or sugar palm ( Arenga pinnata (Wurmb) Merr. View in CoL = Arenga saccharifera Labill. View in CoL ex D.C.; Arecaceae View in CoL ), and label data on seven more say “on palm fruit”. This latter is a continuation of the series reported by Springer and Goodrich (1994).
