Fam. DYSDERIDAE View in CoL View at ENA
Dysdera crocata C. L. Koch, 1838
Dysdera crocata: Shulov 1950: 39 View in CoL ; Amitai & Simon 1985: 129; Amitai 1987: 246, f. 242 (♀).
Notes. This cosmopolitan species described from Europe was found later in many countries including USA, Brazil, Chile, South Africa and Australia where it was likely introduced. Nevertheless, the occurrence of D. crocata View in CoL in Israel was not confirmed by Deeleman-Reinhold & Deeleman (1988) and the species has never been reported from any of the adjoining countries (cf. Řezáč et al. 2008a). In our opinion, the figured female may be the darker coloured D. westringi View in CoL , the actually wide-spread congener in Israel.
Dysdera kollari: Bodenheimer 1937: 236 View in CoL ; Shulov 1950: 39; Amitai & Simon 1985: 129.
Notes. Distribution of this species is confined to South Europe (cf. Platnick 2012). According to Deeleman- Reinhold & Deeleman (1988) the most records under D. kollari View in CoL published were based on misidentifications.
