Type locality: Celebes .

Reference: Navarro 1982b, p. 322, fig. 17.

Morphometrics: Valves 25 (25–39) μm long, 4 (4–7) μm wide, transapical striae 18 (18–20) in 10 μm.

Remarks: Amphora bigibba has been reported along the Brazilian coasts ( Andrade & Teixeira 1957, Procopiak et al. 2006), and in Puerto Rico ( Navarro 1982b), in Fiji ( Foged 1987), Palawan of Philippines ( Podzorski & Håkansson 1987), the Gulf of Mexico ( Krayesky et al. 2009), Yap and Guam ( Navarro & Lobban 2009), and Cape Verde Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the western Africa ( Stidolph et al. 2012). In South Korea, it is rare in the Seogwipo coastal area in Jeju Island.
