Distribution. Siberian-Far Eastern, boreomontane. Middle Ural, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Altai Mountain, Irkutskaya Oblast, Buryatia, Transbaikalia, Yakutia, Chukotka, Magadanskaya Oblast, southern part of Khabarovsky Kray, Primorye. Outside Russia: N Mongolia.

Hostplants: Brassicaceae ( Burnasheva 2011) .

Note. The subgenus Dysgnophos Wehrli, 1951 is currently represented by two species in the Baikal region: Ch. (D.) subsplendidaria ( Wehrli, 1922) and Ch. (D.) turfosaria ( Wehrli, 1922) ( Beljaev & Mironov 2019) . I studied about 50 specimens of Dysgnophos from different locations in Irkutskaya Oblast and Republic of Buryatia. Male genitalia were revealed to be rather variable in this sample, and some variants of this variability have been considered to be diagnostic at the species level by some authors (e.g. Wehrli 1922; Smiles 1979). Thus, Siberian Dysgnophos show different degree of sclerotization of the U-shaped cornutus (see Fig 17J–17O View FIGURE 17 ), and inconstant number of spines on the costa of the valva has been found even within the same sample: from 0 to 2. The size and coloration of the adults are also markedly variable. Beljaev (2016) doubted the species rank of Ch. (D.) subsplendidaria . However, I found a female with some genital characters different from typical to Ch. (D.) turfosaria that could suggest separate species. The Ch. (D.) turfosaria species-group requires a revision based on more abundant materials.
