Distribution. Known from the highest Balkan mountain systems: Dinaric Mts., Rila Mts., Pirin Mts., in the Carpathian Mts. widely spread Ph. carpatiana Z. Kovács, S. Kovács, Zlatkov, Huemer, 2020 ( Schawerda, 1908; Zlatkov & Huemer 2017; Kovács et al. 2020).
