Distribution. ( Fig. 195View FIGURE 195). Widely distributed in Central Anatolia. Turkey: Konya, Akşehir, Kayseri, Karaman ( Werner 1901); Konya, Karapınar, Kayseri, İncesu, Yılanlı Dağ ( Werner 1905); Kayseri, Taşhan ( Kuty 1907); Ankara, Elma Dağı ( Uvarov 1930; Karabağ 1949); Konya ( Karabağ 1958); Niğde: Ulukışla, Ankara: Polatlı ( Ramme 1951); Ankara: Polatlı, Konya: Ereğli ( Karabağ et al. 1971); Kırıkkale: Kazmaca, Sulakyurt, Yeşilyazı Köyü, Büyükavşar-Yaylayurt, ( Ünal 2006); Niğde: Çamardı, Sulucaova Köyü, Kayseri: Develi, Ayvaşhacı Köyü, Nevşehir: Ürgüp, Topuz Dağı Geçidi, Karaman: Yeşildere-Ayrancı, Konya: Çeltik, Eskişehir il sınırı, Ereğli, Eskişehir: Türkmen Dağı, Üçsaray Köyü, Ankara: Elma Dağı, Etimesgut, Polatlı, Kırşehir: 23 km N. of Kırşehir, Çoğun ( Ünal 2011); Tokat, Çamlıbel-Artova, Yatmış Köyü (Şirin et al. 2014; Mol et al. 2016).

Measurements (mm). Length of body: male 44.1–53.9, female 45.6–52.2; pronotum: male 15.2–19.7, female 14.5–15.9; hind femur: male 18.3–21.3, female 21.3–23; ovipositor: 12–13 ( Ünal 2011).

Remarks. The following populations in the northern central Anatolia are intermediate forms between B. dilatatus  and this species. Çorum: Oğuzlar: Kayıbeli, Alaca, Mecitözü: İbek-Cevizli, Tokat: Zile: Çekerek yolu, Palanlı Köyü ( Ünal 2011: 18) and recently found Yozgat: Sorgun yolu (see above) and partly Sivas: Yıldızeli. All of them are located in the region between Çorum, Tokat, Yozgat and Sivas provinces. They are quite variable and possibly hybrid forms of these two species.

This species was found in Afyon, Şuhut with B. conophallus  together as congeneric partners.

This species has not been assessed for the IUCN Red List (2016–3). It is widely distributed in Central Anatolia and has enough populations. It should be in “Least Concern” status in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
