Bradyporus (Callimenus) multituberculatus (Fischer von Waldheim, 1833) View in CoL : Ünal 2011: 6.

Type locality. S. Russia: Voronej, Guberniya . Type: probably lost.

Material examined. 1 male, 1 female (without locality label) (det. F. Zeuner) (NHMUK); Caucasus, 7. 1912, 1 male (leg. Kiritschenko); Transcauc., 1 male; Caucasia, 6.1927, 1 male; Caucasia, 7.1936, 3 males; Rosmoba na donu, 1905, 4 males; Kavkaz, 8–9.1950, 1 female (leg. Bey-Bienko); plus 18 males, 20 females with Russian labels (ZIN).

Distribution. ( Fig. 193 View FIGURE 193 ). S. Russia, Ciscaucasia. [S. Russia]: Guberniya-Voronej, Caucasia [Ciscaucasia] (Fischer von Waldheim 1833); Russia ( Fischer 1853); Valley of Mannich ( Caudell 1912); N. Caucasia, Don, Terek, Kuban provinces, Taman peninsula and Stavropol ( Boldyrev 1928; Miram 1929); N. Caucasia ( Bey-Bienko 1930); Ukraine ( Uvarov 1934); Ciscaucasia: Velikoknjazhesk, Don, Rostov-Don ( Shugurov 1906); Prochladnaja ( Ramme 1951); S. Russia, N. Caucasia ( Ebner & Beier 1964); virgin steppes of Ciscaucasia and formerly in Ukraine (Bey- Bienko 1964); steppe in Caucasia [Ciscaucasia] and formerly in Ukraine and Don Region ( Harz 1969).

Measurements (mm). Length of body: male 45–55, female 47–56; pronotum: male 17–19, female 15–18; hind femur: male 18–20.5, female 18–22; ovipositor: 15–17.5 ( Shugurov 1906; Harz 1969).

Remarks. One male was labelled as “ Turkiya , Angora, 1928 (leg. Sviridenko) in the ZIN . This male undoubtedly agree with this species, but the label must be wrongly attached since Ankara is very far from the distribution area of this species and except the two species, B. dilatatus and B. avanos , no other species of Bradyporus has been found in Ankara Province till now.

According to Boldyrev (1927) and Miram (1929) the records in the second half of 19th century from Ukraine: Taurien, Kherson, Kharkiv and Russia: Voronezh [type locality] are undoubtedly extinct. The populations in Ciscaucasia ( Russia) shown in the map ( Fig. 193 View FIGURE 193 ) are possibly dying (Andrej V. Gorochov, pers. commun.). This species has not been shown as threatened in the IUCN Red List (2016–3), but it has “Endangered” status in the European Red List of Orthoptera ( Hochkirch et al. 2016) . It should be at least in “Critically Endangered” status or possibly extinct.
