Mennerius morosus Luljeva, 1967 emend. ( Figure 1B View FIGURE 1 )
Mennerius morosus Luljeva, 1967: 97 , pl. IV, figs 49, 49a; Loeblich & Tappan 1969: 577; Luljeva & Permyakov 1980: 55. Holotype:—L-1725/17 (IGS, designated by Luljeva (1967)), Turonian; Veliki Budischa [49.86°N 34.58°E], Poltava Region, Ukraine.
Description:—Proximal tier very short or absent. First distal tier consists of thick elements and builds parallel-sided body. No second distal tier. Body as high as wide, or shorter. Apical cone dome-shaped, apparently no central apical process(es).
Note:— Mennerius morosus resembles M. glans ( Black, 1971) as illustrated by Bown (2005: 82, pl. P13, fig. 7) or M. mariae ( Black, 1971) ( Bown 2005: 82, pl. P13, fig. 8). However, a synonymy of either of these species with M. morosus cannot be drawn until further material from the M. morosus type area/strata is available.
