Head and thorax creamy white with dark brown markings. Forewings creamy white with elongate spots on claval cells along inner margin and base of appendix, pale brown. Disc of crown centrally shining dark brown or black, lateral, posterior and anterior areas, creamy white. Face shining brown (paratype) or creamy white (holotype). Crown with brown large spot with a few islands of paler areas in holotype. Legs creamy white with bases of hind tibial spines brown, claws fuscous.
Male genitalia. Pygofer longer than height, posterior 0.75 rather broad in middle, then narrowed strongly to apex, dorsal margin convex, posterodorsal apex produced, ventral process traversing along ventral margin, with attenuated distal apex. Subgenital plates with hair-like setae. Style with heel and toe well developed. Connective Yshaped, arms U-shaped, stem longer than arms. Aedeagus with extension of atrium well developed, dorsolateral lobes smaller, rounded and pigmented; shaft robust, tubular, long, apex in lateral view hooked at tip, with short basal pair of processes about 0.33 as long as shaft, ventral marginal ridge not very well developed; gonopore apical. Segment X reaching posterior apex of pygofer, broader proximally then slightly narrowed distally.
Measurements. Male 4.1 and 4.6 mm long, 1.4 and 1.6 mm wide across eyes and 1.4 and 1.7 mm wide across hind margins of pronotum.
Material examined. Holotype ♂, NEPAL: Langstang Valley , 10,200 ft (3094 m), 11.viii.1949, B.M . Nepal Exp. 1949, B.M. 1949-637 ( BMNH) . Paratype 1♂ with same data but collected at 10500 ft on 4.viii.1949 ( BMNH) .
Remarks. This is the only species of Evacanthus from the Indian subcontinent which has whitish forewings with greatly reduced brown markings.
