Type depository. Reportedly deposited in the MNHN according to Haaf (1954b): 711. Type locality: “ Port Denison [Bowen, Queensland, Australia]” .
Type depository. Lectotype at ANIC, designated by Scholtz (1986b): 51.
Distribution: Spain ( Bercedo Páramo 1997) [Introduced].
Comment: Omorgus (O.) subcarinatus , native to Australia, has now been recorded from Palaearctic region ( Bercedo Páramo 1997).
