Type locality: “Coromandel” [=southeastern coast of the Indian subcontinent, Tamil Nadu State, India] .
Type depository. Holotype (male) at NHMB.
Distribution: India (Tamil Nadu) ( Haaf 1957; Kalifate & Patole 2018).
Comment: Omorgus (O.) rimulosus ( Haaf, 1957) is known only from the holotype. It was previously classified in the subgenus Afromorgus . However, after examination of its holotype we found that it belongs to the nominotypical subgenus Omorgus .
