Material examined. Seoul-si (37°27′23.32″N, 126°57′ 25.15″E), Korea; collected by JH Lee on 16 June 2013.
Deposition. NIBRIV0000900837.
World distribution. Cosmopolitan.
Diagnosis. Prostomium bluntly. Hair chaetae finely serrated on convex border per bundle. Needle chaetae bifid, without nodulus, distally curved, with short, very fine teeth. Ventral chaetae 3 - 10 per bundle in II, longer, thinner than rest, with teeth equally thick, distal twice as long as proximal. In IV on, giant chaetae one to two per bundle, with distal nodulus and very thick distal tooth, strongly hooked and a rudimentary proximal tooth ( Fig. 8A, B View Fig ).
Remarks. Pristina aequiseta has giant chaetae in segment V or VI, while P. forelii does not. Our specimen has giant chaetae in segment V.
