Material examined. Yeongheungdo (37°11′14.0″N, 126° 26′10.0″E), Korea; collected by RH Jeong and JS Yeom on 4 May 2017.

Deposition. NIBRIV0000879018.

World distribution. UK, Norway and Korea.

Diagnosis. Body fusiform, pedigerous and abdominal somites with denticulated hyaline frills. Total body length 473 μm, largest width 117 μm. Rostrum large, typically deflected, with two pairs of minute sensillae. Caudal rami short, slightly wider than long. Antennule four segmented, antenna is biramus, exopod three segmented. Swimming legs I - IV, biramous, endopods and exopod three segmented, except P1 (first thoracopod) endopod. Proportions and setation as described by Sars (1911), and Gee (1988). P5 (fifth thoracopod) with separate exopod and baseoendopod; baseoendopod armed with three setae; exopod nearly as long as wide and armed with five setae.

Remarks. The genus Danielssenia Boeck, 1873 was redefined and revised by Huys and Gee (1993) from the type species D. typica , and two other species, D. quadriseta Gee, 1988 and D. reducta Gee, 1988 . Danielssenia typica Boeck, 1873 was first described by Boeck (1873), and redescribed by Sars, G. O. (1909), Gee (1988), and Huys and Gee (1993) with new detailed illustrations.
