A nisotoma ecarinata Horn 1880: 292 . “ Lectotype ”, female, in MCZC, type number 3012, (We do not know of a publication validating this specimen as the lectotype and we do not so designate it here.), seen; MCZC cotype 33560, seen. Type locality: “western Nevada,” probably from woodland or forest habitat in the vicinity of Reno or Lake Tahoe .

Diagnosis. As for the genus.
Distribution. Previously recorded in North America ( Horn 1880, Hatch 1929, 1957) from: CANADA. BRITISH COLUMBIA. Penticton. UNITED STATES. NEVADA (unspecified locality). CALIFORNIA. See Fig. 21 View Figure 21 .
Seasonality. The few known specimens were collected from May to July.
Bionomics. The few known adults with habitat data were collected in mixed forest.
