Coccidia is similar to the previous species, but have a hemispherical, less convex and smoother carapace.The lay is made under the carapace, from where the nymphs hatch forming lines; hence the name ‘catenarius'. These nymphs are fixed in the carapace cracks. Its oviposition capacity is very high and each female can lay up to 800 eggs.
