Caules quadripedales, fruticosi, secundum annos ramosi, crassitie digiti. Rami annotini superne crassiores, subvillosi, infra folia adspersi cicatricibus transversis. Ramus florifer primo vere ex apice ramorum excrescit, fruticat, perit, cum ad latera baseos novi rami prodeunt. Folia lanceolata, coriacea, subtomentosa, viridia, reflexa nervo utrinque elevato, versus flores latiora obtusiora. Umbella parva, conferta, terminalis, sessilis: Radiis numerosis semel bifidis. Involucrum universale polyphyllum, sublanceolatum, parvum, reflexum; Involucella perfoliata, semibifida. Flores intra involucella primaria masculi, reliqui hermaphroditi; omnes Petalis 4, purpureis, humidis. Germina villosa.
