Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland by Duncker & Mohr (1929: 81), based on ZMH 16485.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 0.—General distribution: East Africa east to Marshall and Tuamotu islands, north to Philippines. Cryptic in coral reefs, 2–20 m depth. Marine.
