Status at New Ireland. First record from New Ireland by Wang et al. (2018), based on a NTUM 11085 and NTUM 11212 (2 specimens, St. CP 4455 and CP4456, northeast of Bangatang ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Marquesas Islands. Found on sand or sandrubble areas of the lower continental and insular shelf and upper slope, 3–400 m depth. Marine.
