Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland by Kailola (1987b: 296); subsequently reported from Lihir Group, Namatamai District by Fry et al. (2006: 130).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 5.—General distribution: Taiwan to Ryukyu Islands; Queensland ( Australia) and Papua New Guinea east to Fiji. Bathydemersal, 200–320 m depth. Marine.
