Pomacentrus nagasakiensis Tanaka 1917 View in CoL — Nagasaki damselfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken on north coast of Manne Island, Kavieng District at 1–11 m depth, St. KR36, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Maldives and Sri Lanka east to Palau and Papua New Guinea, north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Found on sandy areas near rocky outcrops, 5–30 m depth. Marine.
