Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimens photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 23 Apr. 2010 and 11 Nov. 2012.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Christmas Island (eastern Indian Ocean) and Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, south to Queensland ( Australia). Found among the bases of the arms of crinoids, in coral reefs, 10–20 m depth. Marine.
