Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4429-9, northeast of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Maldives; Ryukyu Trough to southern Japan; Papua New Guinea. Bathydemersal on soft bottoms, 494–550 m depth. Marine.
