Type locality: China, Yunnan
Distribution: Sikkim ( Černý & Pinratana 2009).
Remark: Volynkin et al. (2019) restricted this species to China (Yunnan). Furthermore, no Indian specimen of B. yuennanensis could be found in any of the world museums having moth collection (Pers. Comm. Anton Volynkin).
