Type locality: Khasia Hills , Assam [Meghalaya]. Lectotype designated by Hampson (1920)
Distribution: Sikkim, Meghalaya (Khasi Hills) (Dubatolov 2010), Assam ( Rothschild 1910).
Remark: Indian records of L. infernalis by Singh & Singh (1998) belong to L. (T.) nigrescens .
