Material examined: 484 specimens from the ocean and sea slopes of Kunashir , Iturup , Urup , Chyornye Bratya , Onekotan, and Paramushir Islands (30–300 m) .

Distribution: Kuril Islands (30–300 m) ( Amano & Lutaenko 2004; Kantor & Sysoev 2005; Matsukuma 2017).

Remarks: This species was described from six specimens collected at depths 54–218 m off Iturup Island ( Amano & Lutaenko 2004). Our study has shown that this species is widely distributed all along the Kuril Islands and in a slightly wider range of depths.
