Robaia robai ( Kuroda, 1929) View in CoL — Kamenev 2013: 127, figs. 2G–J.

Material examined: four specimens from the Kunashirsky Strait (200–300 m).

Distribution: Sea of Japan; Japan (Pacific Ocean); Kunashirsky Strait; Sea of Okhotsk (83– 2,900 m) ( Scarlato 1981; Kurozumi & Tsuchida 2000; Kantor & Sysoev 2005; Okutani, Saito & Haga 2009; Lutaenko & Noseworthy 2012; Kamenev 2013; Okutani & Saito 2014, 2017; Kurozumi, Tsuchida & Okutani 2017).

Remarks: This is a new record from the region of the Kuril Islands. Scarlato (1981) described this species as Robaia habei Scarlato, 1981 . Kamenev (2013) compared the type material, descriptions, and illustrations of R. habei and Robaia robai ( Kuroda, 1929) ( Kuroda 1929; Scarlato 1981). The analysis showed that R. habei is a synonym of R. robai .
