Orthogonius nepalensis Habu, 1979 View in CoL
Habu, 1979: 7
We are not able to see the type series of this species which are deposited in ICHU, Japan. According to Habu’s excellent figures and very detailed description, this species is evidently a member of baconii species group. O. nepalensis is recognized by its 5th hind tarsomere longer than 1st, the median lobe of aedeagus slightly expanded ventrally in middle portion and sharp at apex in profile.
Although Habu compared this species with O. fugax Chaudoir , a Ceylonese species, according to Chaudoir’s key (Chaudoir, 1871), it is not allied to the latter, actually.
Distribution. Nepal (Habu, 1979).
