Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 A–1C
Type material. Holotype male ( PSUNHM). Cambodia: Kampong Speu Province, Chreav Waterfall , 11°58’00”N, 104°14’32”E, ca. 353 m a.s.l., 7.v.2019, leg. Pongsak Laudee. GoogleMaps
Paratypes. Same data as holotype GoogleMaps , 2 males ( PSUNHM) , 3 males ( CHM) , 2 males ( CUAC) , 2 males ( NMPC) .
Etymology. Named for Dr. Hong Kimcheang who is the Director of Kampong Speu Institute of Technology.
Description. Length of each male forewing 3.0 mm (n = 11); specimens in alcohol with head, thorax, abdomen, forewings, and legs unicolorous yellowish brown.
Male genitalia ( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 A–1C). Preanal appendages in dorsal view each somewhat bird head-shaped, with long setae on mesal surface directed mesad ( Fig. 1A View FIGURES 1 ); in lateral view, preanal appendages large, triangular, angled upward, and rounded apically ( Fig. 1B View FIGURES 1 ). Sternum IX somewhat oval in lateral view ( Fig. 1B View FIGURES 1 ). Inferior appendages tu- bular; basally directed dorsad, curving more nearly caudad at midlength, rounded apically, two basodorsal branches of each inferior appendage mostly parallel with main body of appendage and with each other, with one branch bifurcated apically and other pointed apically, in lateral and mesal views ( Figs 1B, C View FIGURES 1 , respectively). Phallus long, tubular, basally directed ventrad then recurved dorsad at 1/4 length, midlength nearly straight, strongly sinuous subapically, apex acute and directed dorsad ( Fig. 1B View FIGURES 1 ).
Diagnosis. The male genitalia of the new species very closely resemble those of P. amphiaraos Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1997 and other similar species P. dasaratha Malicky 1993 , P. kalais Malicky 2004 , P. kuni Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1993 , P. monto Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1993 , and P. pinsuwanae Laudee & Malicky 2018 . However, P. kimcheangi n. sp. can be distinguished from these by characters of the inferior appendages. Each inferior appendage has two basodorsal branches that are separated from the main body of the inferior appendage and from each other near the base but are parallel and close together to their apices. The apex of the outer branch is pointed and the apex of the inner branch is bifurcate ( Figs 1B, 1C View FIGURES 1 ).
